LH Project Mission Statement

“The LH Project, with its remote location at the foot of the Wallowa Mountains in Northeastern Oregon, offers an intimate, private setting for serious, committed artists to nourish their creative process. Providing resources an artist working within the ceramic medium needs to explore and develop a body of work along with the chance to escape the rigors and demands of everyday life is the primary vision of the LH Project.”

The LH Project will be a benefit to the community of Joseph and Wallowa County by offering classes and workshops taught by resident artists to local individuals of all skill levels and ages; bringing more art recognition to the area; creating additional regular/steady business interaction with local shops, stores, galleries, restaurants etc.; educating the ceramic process and aesthetics to the community and providing intensive workshop activities, informal lectures and slide shows with internationally recognized ceramic artists.
